Call for proposals “Max und Moritz“Award 2016

In the context of the 17th Erlangen International Comic Salon – 26 to 29 May 2016 – the most important prize for graphic literature in the German-speaking countries – the “Max und Moritz“ Award – will be presented in Erlangen’s baroque theatre on Friday, 27 May 2016, 9 p.m. The prize, which is awarded since 1984 every two years by an independent jury of professionals, appointed by the city of Erlangen, has played a decisive role for over 30 years in the recognition of comic art all over the German-speaking world. Publications released since April 2014 can be nominated for the “Max und Moritz“ Award 2016. The call for proposals was sent to publishing companies in the German-speaking countries.
The members of the jury 2016 are: Christian Gasser (author, academic Hochschule Luzern – Design & Kunst), Brigitte Helbling (journalist, member of Arbeitsstelle für Graphische Literatur der Universität Hamburg), Andreas C. Knigge (journalist and publicist, Hamburg), Isabel Kreitz (comic-strip artist, Hamburg), Lars von Törne (journalist, Berlin), Christine Vogt (director Ludwiggalerie Schloss Oberhausen) and Bodo Birk (director Erlangen International Comic Salon).
